MONDAY 8th
Rick Stein's Taste of Shanghai (BBC2, 9pm) Culinary special where the foodie visits Shanghai and samples some local dishes.
Royal Navy School (Channel 4, 9pm) New documentary series following two classes of Royal Navy recruits through training at HMS Raleigh, Cornwall. (1/6)
The X-Files (Channel 5, 9pm) Revival of the supernatural drama from the 1990s. Starring David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Mitch Pileggi, William B. Davis, Joel McHale & Annet Mahendru. (1/6)
Addicted to Sheep (BBC4, 9pm) Documentary following a year in the life of tenant hill farmers, breeding sheep in the North Pennines.


TUESDAY 9th
Happy Valley (BBC1, 9pm) Series 2 of the crime drama. Starring Sarah Lancashire, Siobhan Finneran, Susan Lynch, Robert Emms & Ishia Bennison. (1/6)
The Great British Benefits Handout (Channel 5, 9pm) Documentary series where three long-term unemployed families are given £26,000 each to see if it will transform their lives for the better. (1/4)
Professor Green: Hidden and Homeless (BBC3, 9pm) Documentary where the musician explores the plight of modern homelessness.


WEDNESDAY 10th
How to Die: Simon's Choice (BBC2, 9pm) Documentary following the story of businessman Simon, who has aggressive motor neurone disease and wants to end his own life.
Violent Child, Desperate Parents (Channel 5, 9pm) Documentary series where therapist Mandy Saligari takes on some of the UK's most violent children.

THURSDAY 11th
Flood Chaos: Winter Road Rescue (Channel 5, 8pm) New series following the work of RAC patrols during periods of bad weather. (1/3)
Inside the World's Toughest Prisons (Channel 5, 9pm) New series where journalist Paul Connolly experiences life inside some of the most notorious prisons around, starting with Poland's maximum security Piotrkow. (1/3)
Britain's Weirdest Council Houses (Channel 4, 10pm) Documentary looking at council house tenants who have transformed their homes.

FRIDAY 12th
Bankrupt & Broke: When Celebrities Go Bust (Channel 5, 8pm) Countdown special listing the famous people who have filed for bankruptcy in their time.
First Dates (Channel 4, 9pm) Series 5 of the fly-on-the-wall show looking at people going on first dates.
The Last Leg (Channel 4, 10pm) Series 9 of the topical comedy show. Hosted by Adam Hills, with captains Josh Widdicombe & Alex Brooker. (1/8)

SATURDAY 13th
Nothing much. Netflix and chill.

SUNDAY 14th
British Academy Film Awards (BBC1, 9pm) Annual coverage of the film awards ceremony. Hosted by Stephen Fry.
